N. Elizabeth Schlatter is the creator of The Aligned Potter. A ceramicist who took a 30-year hiatus from the wheel, she quickly realized that her body now requires a lot (!!) more support to throw pots without aches, pains, and potential long-term damage. Based in Richmond, Virginia, Schlatter is also an independent curator, writer, and consultant. She co-curated the 2024 NCECA Annual Exhibition, Rendered Fusion: Clay, Connection, Attention, and in 2025, earned her Personal Training Certificate from the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
