Setting Up and Sitting at the Pottery Wheel
This short video looks at positioning the body while setting up at the pottery wheel. Featured is Debbie Quick, founder, owner, and instructor at Clay Ground, a community pottery studio based in Richmond, Virginia. What I love in this video is how Debbie explains not only things to think about when sitting at the wheel but also why they matter (as in, why it helps to have your hands positioned in the middle of the wheel when seated). In-kind support for this video was provided by Debbie Quick and Andrea Blanchard, PT, DPT.
